The President of Guangxi Vocational University of Agriculture, along with the faculty, from the People's Republic of China is seeking academic collaboration with Maejo University. On Wednesday, July 5th, 2023, Associate Professor Dr. Weerapon Thongma, President of Maejo University, along with university executives and international college administrators, welcomed Mrs. Li Xianghong, President of Guangxi Vocational University of Agriculture (Guangxi VUA), along with the faculty from the People's Republic of China, at the Ruangpheung Meeting Room of the Office of the University Building. This occasion marked their visit to discuss academic cooperation. Guangxi Vocational University of Agriculture (Guangxi VUA) is a vocational university in the People's Republic of China, specializing in agricultural studies. It has a similar history and size to Maejo University. Currently, Guangxi VUA has a student population of 22,600, consisting of 7,400 undergraduate students and 15,200 postgraduate certificate students. It employs a total of 1,499 personnel, including 69 professors, 357 associate professors, and 1,073 lecturers with master's and bachelor's degrees. Guangxi VUA aims to develop its personnel by sending them for doctoral studies and has expressed interest in sending its personnel to further their studies in the ASEAN region, including Maejo University.
